Clearing the Browser Tabs – He is Risen Sunday Edition Posted: 24 Apr 2011 03:10 AM PDT If you pinned me down on what I thought were the greatest words in the Bible, I’d point you to Matthew 28:6, which reads, “He is not here, for He is risen as he said. Come see the place where the Lord lay.” In that one simple sentence, spoken by an angel to a couple of women of no great Earthly importance, you can find the very heart of Christianity. Because Jesus Christ rose from the dead, we may all find eternal life in paradise upon the simple acceptance of his gift. Too preachy there? Well, that’s okay. I’m not saying you have to believe it, but if you want to understand it, I think that’s a good place to start. And since it is Easter Sunday, the day we celebrate his unique victory over death and the grave, I think it’s appropriate. After all, the left is going to bend religion to its dishonest and totalitarian purposes without apology. We folks on the right ought to tell the story straight and let everyone else decide what they’d like to do with the story. And once you’ve digested that, you can have dessert: dancing peeps! And now, links! Ace wrote an interesting follow-up to Fred Thompson’s piece on media and “the narrative”. There are a couple interesting takeaways from his post worth thinking about as the election season winds on. I wondered how long it would take the MSM to roll out the “Why We Should Love High Gas Prices” story. Just remember, that $4+ a gallon you’re paying isn’t the President’s fault at all. No sirree!
