Clearing the Browser Tabs – Bonus Podcast Saturday Edition Posted: 02 Apr 2011 03:10 AM PDT The more bonus episodes of The Delivery on Friday evening, the more I’m convinced I need to do more than one a week, every week. The only problem is that neither I nor SMP Mike have schedules conducive to such an undertaking. Perhaps that situation will change in the relatively near future. Until then, I’ll squeeze them in whenever the spirit, and our schedules, take me. Be sure not to miss last night’s show, which featured Ashley Sewell and Chris Muir. They definitelyh helped make the show greater than the sum of its parts. I’ll post the link when the show hits the web. And now, links!

You Know Who the Fleebaggers Are Just Like? Soldiers in Afghanistan. Posted: 01 Apr 2011 12:02 PM PDT In a grim future of arrogant hyperbole, this Indiana legislator could well be our Emperor. It takes an overflowing amount of both for him to compare his petulant flight to Illinois to avoid the will of the electorate to soldiers sent to Afghanistan for fight in our stead. But, as you’ll see, he has no problem at all saying that very thing.
The applause you hear come from the trained seals of the teachers’ unions, who showed up to shield him from the derisive laughter that should have followed such a self-serving statement. Well, derisive laughter and maybe some tar and feathers. CORRECTION: I initially thought the legislator was a Fleebagger from Wisconsin. he’s really a Fleebagger from Indiana. Fixed. |
Posted: 01 Apr 2011 09:23 AM PDT I know I have put the boots to the National Republican Senatorial Committee more than a few times in the past, but they deserve much praise for this minute-long piece of delicious snark.
I’d like to see a few more of these aimed at a few Democratic Senators. Debbie Stabenow, Claire McCaskill, Sherrod Brown, Ben Cardin would make excellent subjects to start, but I don’t see any reason the NRSC couldn’t make a similar ad for every one facing re-election. |
