Clearing the Browser Tabs – At Least It’s Over Saturday Edition Posted: 20 Aug 2011 03:10 AM PDT It’s been an odd and frustrating week around here and I’m glad to stumble into the weekend, where I can take a few hours to relax and regroup. With luck, when Monday comes, my phone line will be repaired (or at least it’ll be done by the end of the day) and I’ll be able to do The Delivery in the customary live and hour-long fashion. I should also have a few time management issues figured out so that I can show you some of the blogging I do at other sites around the internet. it’s good stuff and I think you’ll enjoy it at least as much as you enjoy what I post right here. But that’s all next week. Until then, let’s enjoy the weekend and these posts from some of the best writers around the internet. And now, links! - Remember when I called the New York Times story on Rep. Darrell Issa a “hit piece”. Well, it was certainly that. What’s more, it was packed full of innuendo, outright falsehoods, and closely resembled a piece written by the chief fantasist for Think Progress, Lee Fang. Don’t expect a retraction from the Times editorial staff. They did their job. (via Instapundit)
- If you do not know who Sam Childers, the “Machine Gun Preacher”, is, you should read up on him. He has led a truly amazing life.
- What excessive regulation does to small businesses is truly maddening. I suspect that if the average voter really knew how bad things are, there’d be a considerable electoral revolt.
- Stephen Moore had an excellent piece on why Americans don’t like economists very much that would be a great introductory article to the subject of economics.
- And speaking of economics, when an economic theory is almost all exceptions, it’s not much of a theory, is it? (via memeorandum)
- Yes, folks, Joe Biden really did say we acted like terrorists during the debt ceiling debate.
- So, the President doesn’t think we’ll slip into another recession, does he? I’m hardly surprised. That wasn’t the only delusional belief he revealed in this interview with CBS News.
- Hmmm…a Babylon 5 comeback? I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for more news.
- I’m not normally a fan of mashups, but thanks to District Diaries, I’ve found one that impressed the heck out of me…and one that didn’t.
