Clearing the Browser Tabs – Still Not Over 9/11 Saturday Edition Posted: 03 Sep 2011 03:10 AM PDT The tenth anniversary of September 11th is nearly upon us and I’m still not over it. I mentioned on Twitter the other night that I can’t think of that day and not get angry at the attack and the utter stupidity that has fallen upon our country since that day. From the hole that remains in the ground where the Twin Towers once stood to the persistent left-wing Truther movement to the way we humiliate airline travelers because we’re too cowardly to search for killers where they will most likely be found, we have reacted to an act of war in so many wrong ways I despair that we will ever get ourselves straightened out. A video like this tosses just a little bit more fuel on the fire. It’s worth your time today, if for no other reason than to remind you what we lost that day. I haven’t really decided if I’ll write a post about 9/11 on the anniversary. If I do, it likely won’t be a mournful tribute or a tear-jerker of a memorial. I’m not ready to grieve. I’m still itching to deliver some well-deserved justice. And now, links. - Bill Whittle schooled the radical Amy Goodman on Truth why she’s little more than a thief. If you haven’t caught one of Whitle’s Afterburner videos, you should remedy that immediately. He is incredibly gifted and has worked hard to make himself one of the best media personalities on the web or off.
- The last time our government spent as much as it is right now, we were fighting to rid the world of a worldwide fascist menace (via Instapundit). What, aside from capitalism, is our government fighting today?
- When police enforce the laws they want to enforce, even if such laws don’t exist, we are no longer free.
- I love it when the normally proper and measured Sean Hackbarth breaks out the Epee of Snark on an unwitting victim. It’s doubly delicious that he’s done so on the behalf of the Chamber of Commerce, which may be the last group you think of when you think of snark.
- If you’re going to talk about energy policy, you’re going to need a lot of information. Luckily, a hard-working blogger gathered much of what you’ll need all in one place.
- Do you want a tie inspired by the 80s synth-pop group Kraftwerk? Yes. Yes you do.
- The National Hockey League’s social media work leads every other professional sport by a long shot. The New Jersey Devils’ planned “Mission Control Centre” will make that lead a lot wider. If the other leagues were smart, they’d huddle right now with a few hockey teams and figure out how to emulate the success they have had.
- Mercury may be the most challenging planet to spot now that Pluto has been relegated to second-stellar body status. However, you’ll get a very chance to see it this week.
- Gina Elise is a beautiful woman who has done God’s own work to help our injured troops. Now, Gina needs just a little bit of help from us. Check out the post and click like the wind.
