Clearing the Browser Tabs – Mostly About Me Friday Edition Posted: 29 Jul 2011 03:10 AM PDT Now is the time at The Sundries Shack when we engage in blatant self-promotion! I started this week as the contributing blogger to the website Ending Spending. It’s a site devoted to, well, I think you can figure it out from the title. I’ll be writing about government spending, budgets, tax policy and all sorts of things that require math and we all know how great I am at math, yes? It’ll work out fine, though. The good people there have had their eyes on me for a little while now and I’m very glad they’ve brought me over to populate their site with all manner of good content. Tomorrow morning, I’ll be a guest on Pete Ingemi’s excellent Da Tech Guy on Da Radio show starting at 10 AM Eastern. Yep, that’s A.M. and not the customary P.M., so I’ll need a bit of extra sleep. I won’t get it, but I’ll need it! If you’re up and about at that time of day tomorrow, you can listen live on the web at this link right here. There’s even a call-in number, so if there’s anything you ever wanted to ask me, here’s your chance. And now, links!

The Delivery Presents – What’s the Difference Between DC and St. Louis? Smarts! Posted: 28 Jul 2011 07:47 PM PDT
My friend Teri Christoph joined me for the second half and we talked about this weekend’s Smart Girl Summit in St. Louis, MO. If you don’t know about Teri’s group Smart Girl Politics, you really should spend a few minutes to acquaint yourself. It’s the kind of group of which we need a few more around the country — a truly grassroots organization that runs neither on a big budget or with big egos. They just do good, solid political work and pretty much anyone who wants to get involved can find a place. By the way, for those of you still waiting for the audio goodies from the fundraiser, I have not forgotten you. I apologize profusely for the delay, but we’ve gotten hung up with scheduling and production. Life, alas, has intruded far more than either I or SMPMike wanted. I anticipate they’ll be in my hot little hands soon, though. Thank you so much for being so very patient! This posting includes an audio/video/photo media file: Download Now |
