How Many People Did Public Sector Unions Kill in NYC? Posted: 30 Dec 2010 09:42 AM PST If this story is true, then a lot of public union officials and city workers people need to be in the dock. Soon.
This is worse than selfishness; it is criminal negligence. People have died because emergency crews could not travel down unplowed city streets, including a baby born in the blood-spattered vestibule of an apartment building. In several cases, the ambulance crews themselves were stranded for several hours while responding to emergency calls. And all because public employees unions reportedly threw a city-wide snit. If I lived in New York City, I’d be on the phone to every legislator I could — city, state, and federal — demanding a full investigation of these reports. If this report is even a little bit true, then people are dead because union officials wanted to play a little hard ball. Well, let’s see how they like playing that hard ball in a jail cell for a decade or so. Oh, and while we’re at it, let’s decertify every one of the public sector unions involved in this. Shut them all down and never let them come back — not in a year, not ever. They have forfeited any legitimate claim they have that they are responsible advocates for the weak and powerless and have proven themselves a menace to public safety. Public sector unions are our enemies and we should eradicate them without remorse or pity. |
