Clearing the Browser Tabs – Take a Stiff Belt of Courage, Conservatives! Posted: 10 Sep 2012 01:41 PM PDT Building a lasting political majority does not happen in one election cycle, especially when you start in a very distant second place. The Maryland Republican Party should remember that, or it will always be a national joke. They can start by talking to Dan Bongino, who has a few words we on the right ought to remember well over the next two months. There is no way in the world we conservatives ought to allow Mitt Romney to lose this election, not in a year when one out of every five people can’t find enough work to pay the bills. The progressive spin machine is whirling faster than a south Atlantic hurricane but it still can’t blow President Obama to anything even remotely resembling a clear lead. The President’s campaign is slowly crumbling and his overblown faith in his own skills has kept him from assembling a team competent enough to stop it. And now, links! - Very good news today. Yousef Nadarkhani, a Christian pastor who had been sentenced to death for preaching his faith, is now free. It appears the relentless pressure from millions of people around the world did what the free governments of the world could not, or would not, do.
- I know the Democrats pushed the “Barack Obama saved the auto industry” theme pretty heavily last week, but the question we should ask ourselves now is “Did he, really?”. I don’t think a “saved” industry should have a hard time selling its flagship product. Maybe we should ask the employees of Delphi, whose lack of union connections made them invisible to the Industry Saving President.
- Now that the convention is over, the President is back out on the stump, having all sorts of impromptu hijinks that are in no way staged at all, nuh uh.
- I don’t know about you, but I prefer my racism with either apple butter or strawberry preserves. Update your Racist Code Word reference manuals accordingly.
- If you have any friends who still believe we can fix our fiscal woes by turning rich people’s taxes to 11, point them to this Jeff Goldstein post for five minutes of pure, sweet reality.
- Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, head of the Democratic Party, is an outright liar and not at all concerned that she will be punished in the slightest for her amateurish prevarications. That is likely because the brave journalists who should hold her accountable are foursquare on her side.
- Behold Paul Ryan, Norse God of Math!
